Network Administration

Network Administration team members provide high-level support to the enterprise network environment. This includes the design, configuration, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of network hardware and infrastructure for multiple private networks, Wi-Fi network architectures, as well as VoIP telephony. Our team configures and maintains critical network security devices to comply with DOD and Navy requirements. We continuously monitor all active network equipment to ensure the secure, reliable, and stable operability of all client networks and operations.

Some of these functions and services include teleconferencing, network communication devices, and associated elements that support core network functions and services. Other functions the team supports are:

Configure and manage VLANs, routing, and failover mechanisms.
Configure and manage firewall rules based on ports, protocols, and services.
Management of IPv4 and IPv6 network address schemes and allocations.
Management network related DISA STIG activities.
Maintain and update circuit information using Solar Winds to avoid inadvertent interruption of service.
Prepare circuit diagrams and update service agreements where needed.

We also offer support in the planning and design of the network infrastructure to include the network cable plant. Netsimco technical drawers can develop installation drawings of proposed cable and equipment closet locations as well as a list of materials required to complete task.

Assist with application of formal methodologies in security architecture, security system design and engineering to help with security technology integration and deployment of cyber tools including but not limited to vulnerability scanners, host-based security solutions, and other enterprise cybersecurity tools as needed.
